Independence Day Celebration 2026
Blood Donation Day 2026
Blood Donation Day was observed on 10 and 11 August 2026, from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, at Indira Medical College & Hospital, in association with Indira College of Allied Health Sciences. The programme focused on creating awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation, donor eligibility, safety, and community responsibility.
A total of 5 Allied Health Sciences students voluntarily donated blood, demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility and community service. The programme successfully encouraged students to understand the importance of blood donation and its vital role in saving lives.
Crisis Management in Obstetric Practice - 2026
The Department of Anaesthesia, Indira Medical College and Hospitals, conducted a programme on “Crisis Management in Obstetric Practice” on 24 June 2026 at the IMCH Lecture Hall. The programme provided valuable insights into managing obstetric emergencies, effective crisis management, and safe anaesthetic practices.
International Yoga Day 2026
International Yoga Day was observed on 24 June 2026 at the IMCH Campus with the theme “Yoga for Health and Ageing.” Students actively participated in the programme and practised various yoga asanas, promoting physical well-being, mental relaxation, and healthy ageing.
World Blood Donor Day 2026
World Blood Donor Day was observed on 9 June 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the IMCH Hospital Block. The programme focused on creating awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraging students to contribute towards saving lives.
Allied Health Sciences students and faculty members voluntarily donated blood, demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility and community service. The programme successfully promoted awareness about blood donation and encouraged students to become responsible contributors to society.
PERFUSION WEEK PROGRAMME - 2026
The Department of Cardio Pulmonary Perfusion Care Technology, Indira College of Allied Health Sciences, successfully organized the Perfusion Week Celebration – 2026 on 08 May 2026 at the Grand Hall, IMCH. The programme was conducted from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM with the objective of enhancing academic knowledge, encouraging student participation, and creating awareness about the vital role of perfusion technology in modern cardiac care.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) – Academic Meet 2026
An Academic Meet for Radiological Professionals and Students was organized on 28 March 2026 at the IMCH Grand Hall by the Indian Society of Radiographers & Technologists (ISRT), Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Chapter, in association with the Department of Radiology and Indira College of Allied Health Sciences. The CME provided an academic platform for radiological professionals and students to enhance their knowledge, exchange ideas, and gain exposure to recent developments in radiological practice.
PONGAL CELEBRATIONS - 2026
ICAHS students actively participated in the Pongal Celebration held on 9 January 2026. They took part in various competitions, including dance, Silambam, rangoli, and traditional Pongal pot-making. Students secured cash prizes in the Dance and Silambam competitions, showcasing their talent, creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm for Tamil culture.
NATIONAL PHARMACOVIGILANCE WEEK - 2025
Indira College of Allied Health Sciences actively participated in Pharmacovigilance Week with great enthusiasm and commitment. Students took part in various awareness competitions, including rangoli, poster presentation, and slogan writing, highlighting the importance of safe medication practices, adverse drug reactions, and patient safety.
Through their creativity and knowledge, the students emphasized the significance of drug safety and ADR reporting. Several students excelled in the competitions and won prizes in various categories, bringing pride to the institution.
FDP- Research Methodology – 8 th October 2025
The Faculty Development Programme on Research Methodology was organized to enhance research skills among faculty members through a series of sessions covering research design, data collection, biostatistics, protocol writing, and scientific reporting. The programme featured expert facilitators from IMCH and ICAHS, combining informative lectures with interactive exercises to provide participants with a practical understanding of research methodologies.
WORKSHOP ON SPIROMETRY – RESPIRATORY DEPARTMENT
On 25 July 2025, students of the Department of Respiratory Care, Indira College of Allied Health Sciences (ICAHS), actively participated in a workshop on the mechanism and interpretation of spirometry, organized by the department. The workshop provided hands-on training and enhanced students’ understanding of spirometry as an essential diagnostic tool in respiratory care.
Students gained valuable insights into lung function testing, interpretation of spirometry results, and its clinical applications in the assessment and management of respiratory conditions.
SVEEP TIRUVALLUR -ETHICAL VOTING AWARENESS PROGRAMME – 2026
- ICAHS students actively participated in the Ethical Voting Awareness Programme conducted from 26 March to 8 April 2026. The programme included various competitions such as Meme Creation – “No Cash for Vote,” Reels Creation – “Inducement-Free Voting,” Slogan Writing – “Importance of Vote,” Banner and Poster Design – “Ethical Voting for Better India,” Essay Writing, and an Online Quiz.
- Dharshini, a first-year student from the CT Department, participated enthusiastically in the competition and secured 1st place along with a cash prize. Her achievement brought pride to the institution and highlighted the students’ active participation in promoting ethical voting, civic responsibility, and democratic values.
TRAFFIC AWARENESS PROGRAMME
- Indira College of Allied Health Sciences conducted a Traffic Awareness Programme on 28 April 2026 for Allied Health Sciences students.
- The programme aimed to create awareness about road safety rules, traffic regulations, responsible driving, and accident prevention. More than 158 students actively participated. The session provided valuable information on safe road practices and encouraged students to follow traffic rules and promote road safety in the community.
KALPAVRIKSHAM – BREAST CANCER AWARENESS PROGRAMME 2026
A Breast Cancer Awareness Programme titled “KALPAVRIKSHAM” was conducted on 8 January 2026 at Indira College of Allied Health Sciences. A lecture session was organised to create awareness among students about breast cancer, its risk factors, signs and symptoms, early detection, screening, and prevention. The programme enhanced students’ knowledge and encouraged them to promote breast health awareness and the importance of early diagnosis.
ANTI-RAGGING WEEK 12TH - 18TH AUGUST 2025
- Indira College of Allied Health Sciences (ICAHS) actively participated in Anti-Ragging Week in collaboration with IMCH.
- Our students excelled in various competitions, winning multiple prizes in slogan writing, poster making, essay writing, logo designing, and debates.
- ICAHS congratulates all the winners for promoting the message of ragging-free education and campus safety.
BIOCHEMISTRY E-POSTER COMPETITION
- We are proud to announce that our students of Indira College of Allied Health Sciences (ICAHS) secured the 3rd prize in the Biochemistry E-Poster Presentation competition held on Aug 08,2025 at Panimalar Medical College Hospital & Research Institute.
- The winner is awarded certificates and a trophy in recognition of their creativity, scientific knowledge, and presentation skills.
7TH STATE CONFERENCE OF SOCIETY OF INDIAN RADIOGRAPHERS
- We are proud to announce that the students of Indira College of Allied Health Sciences (ICAHS) secured the 3rd prize at the 7th State Conference of the Society of Indian Radiographers, TN Chapter in VIMS, Selam.
- Their research on “Assessment of Radiation Dose in Paediatric Radiography Based on Body Mass Index” was highly appreciated for its scientific rigor and practical relevance.
